The puppy FINALLY has a name. It is ROSIE. I have no idea where that came from, but it is feminine, jaunty and denotes a little petaled beauty, which she is in some fashion.

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions. So many good ones--maybe we'll have to get more puppies. :-)

Wow! Our two current dogs are named Ernie (for Ernie Kovacs) and Edie (for his wife Edie Adams). But I have a nickname for Edie--just kinda came about, spontaneously--and sometimes call her "Smidgen."

Maybe because she came second, after Ernie, so she was our little one, for a while. If I'm calling her, after not seeing her for a while, she is Edie. but if we are walking together or doing something together, I'll call her Smidgen.

I think it's a good name--but whatever your son chooses, that'll be the one your little heartbreaker will respond to! She's very cute, and we should have more pictures.

Love your beautiful site. I'll have to explore more when I get the time.

Squirt sounds very descriptive to me. I knew a tiny, Chihuahua once with the perfect name -- Smidgen. It's hard to beat that and I've never heard it again.

We are strongly considering adopting a terrier. Because we have two much bigger dogs (70 - 90 lbs.) I am considering the name "Squirt" for the little terrier. I think it has spunk.

Mrs. O is, so far, noncommital.

What do you think of that moniker?

Would you believe she still doesn't have a name. I think he thinks she's too precious to name. :-)

Yes, that's so wrong calling her by the same name as his girlfriend's bichon. So confusing for the new puppy.
Keep working on him, Mom
