I was tagged by “Lea Kelley saying thank you for” to try a delightful exercise.
The rules are that those named below are to make their own lists of six things that make them happy and pass on to others. Let’s have a go at it.
1. Laughter – from snickers to belly laughs
2. Mysteries I can’t figure out
3. Jokes I can (spoiler alert)
4. Nose kisses from kitties
5. Color in all its forms
6. Finding just the right word
Amuirin
Tabbie’s Garden
OmbudsBen
Wasted Days and Wasted Nights
Kat’s random thoughts
Hmmm…not sure how this works =P
but here is my list 😀
1. The purring of my cat under the covers as I hold her in the crook of my arm
2. New flowers opening on a Japanese Wind Orchid plant
3. A book which grabs my attention on the first page and holds it to the very end
4. Movies that make me both laugh and cry
5. A delicious home-cooked meal shared with family and friends
6. Listening to music in a dark room while sipping hot jasmine green tea
Ummm yours all sound so peaceful, just as I would have imagined. Great answers.
Ah yes, Color!
What a fun and wonderful list! I was tagged for this a while back by I don’t remember who then all hell let loose and I didn’t do it. I still have my mind set on doing it but it will simmer for awhile.
1. Sitting down to a well-cooked meal I’m really looking forward to.
2. Either of my baseball teams winning games.
3. A good well-executed plot, either in a book or a movie. Intriguing without straining credulity, and paying off handsomely.
4. Having a newly brewed batch of beer come out perfectly.
5. My dogs’ tails wagging.
6. The happiness of my wife.
Anhinga, with those mysteries you can’t figure out, is there a pay off moment for you, or do you collect them like jewelry and enjoy them into the future?
Woot! K, I just was reminded today that Robin tagged me for this one, so… I’ll make a post out of it. I really like your list…
Color in all its forms is sooooo important, and yet, one of those things like health that I just kind of take in stride.
But a world without color? How terrible would that be?
@ombudsBen – I especially like your number 6.
@amuirin – I can only imagine your list. 🙂
@ombudBen – Forgot to answer you about mystery. I was referring to a book, movie or TV show that stumps me until the very end on who the culprit was. I would not be able to stand not being able to learn at all. That’s called magic and magic irritates me to no end. When you play mind games, as with mysteries, you want to solve the dilemma just not easily.
