Dust Tracks on a Road
Zora Neale Hurston

“Having finished that and scanned the Doctor Book, which my mother thought she had hidden securely from my eyes, I read all the things which children write on privy-house walls. Therefore, I lost my taste for pornographic literature. I think that the people who love it got cheated in the matter of privy houses when they were children.”
This is a meme from “Wasted Days and Wasted Nights” blog.
Rules:
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader
(If you have to improvise, that’s ok.)
*Find any sentence, (or few, just don’t spoil it)
*Post it.
*Add your (url) post below in Linky. Add the post url, not your blog url.
*It’s that simple.
I’m glad you wrote a blog post! The Friday 56 is an easy way to get back into blogging. Even if you post nothing else, try doing this one each week.
The linky is the little blue box at the end of the post on Freda’s Voice blog (I had a link to the blog on my post) where you enter the url address of your Friday 56 post. With the address there, other people will come to your blog to read your post and you can visit other blogs who post Friday 56 by clicking on the links in the linky. If you want to figure out how to do that, let me know and I can help you. It’s easy…very easy. It’s also a fun way to discover and read new to you blogs.
The other easy blog post to get you back into blogging is the Weekend Coffee Share post. I’ve done about six or so of them. You do it on the weekend and the pretense is that you are having coffee with a friend and you kind of just write what is on your mind, as you would tell your friend. You can write about the previous week and/or the coming week. They are really fun ones to do. There are usually anywhere from 25 to 40 bloggers that participate. Again, there is a linky that you sign up on and everyone comes to your page to read your post and you can visit others. I’m about to write my post for this week so stop by and check it out later on Saturday.
